The “Beiteddine Festivals” Committee announced in a statement that, “Since its founding in 1984, Beiteddine Festivals have become accustomed to facing major challenges by adhering to normal life, creating a space for meeting, and carrying messages of hope despite the harshness of wars and the circumstances that Lebanon has gone through and is going through. However, the priority is safety and security for the festival family, participants and audiences, which grows year after year, in addition to the national and humanitarian responsibility that today requires harnessing time and effort in support and solidarity with the Lebanese.” Those affected by the raging war forced the Beiteddine Festivals administration to make the difficult decision to cancel the 2026 edition’s events.” She said: “We all hope that the next stage will bring better conditions that will allow the festivals to return and continue their comprehensive cultural message.”
