Prime Minister Nawaf Salam wrote on his X account: Nothing can justify the continuous attacks on the Tire and Nabatieh regions and the destruction of their historical monuments, nor the continuous threats targeting our people who are safe there, nor the repeated calls for them to leave their homes and forsake their livelihood, in what amounts to collective punishment that is condemned by all international norms and laws. This makes us more committed to the necessity of an immediate ceasefire, working towards a complete Israeli withdrawal from our country, and extending state authority over its entire territory, allowing all displaced persons to return to their homes in security and dignity. We continue to mobilize all Arab and international support to achieve this. This is our national duty and our inalienable right, which we will not compromise on under any circumstances.
