The President of the Republic, Joseph Aoun, issued Decree No. 3146, dated June 1, 2026, calling on the House of Representatives to hold an extraordinary session that will open today and conclude on October 19, 2026 inclusive. The program of work for the extraordinary decade shall be determined by the draft laws referred to the House of Representatives and those that will be referred to it, especially the topics related to the financial, monetary, and economic conditions, and all other draft laws, proposals, and texts that the Council’s office decides to put forward. The decree was signed by Prime Minister Nawaf Salam.
