Regarding Iran, Trump stressed that Tehran “cannot possess a nuclear weapon,” stressing that the United States does not need an agreement with Iran in order to obtain its enriched uranium.
He added that he was not seeking to meet the Iranian leader, but he did not rule out the possibility of holding a meeting if it would help reach an agreement, without revealing additional details.
Trump also warned that any targeting of American soldiers by Iran or its allies might push Washington to return to confrontation, considering that the killing of American soldiers would be sufficient reason to resume the conflict.
