The head of the Lebanese Phalange Party, MP Sami Gemayel, confirmed that “the land will not be liberated, the displaced will not return, reconstruction will not take place, and investment and the economy will not return as long as there are militia weapons on our land, and the presence of Hezbollah’s weapons is the obstacle to Lebanon’s return to the path of progress, and it is the condition for restoring the state’s sovereignty.” Gemayel said, "Iran brought Lebanon into the US-Iranian negotiation file because it wants to keep this card, which led to its occupation. It never protected Lebanon, and today it is trying to save what remains of Hezbollah's military to use them again." He added, "What Iran is trying to do through the MOU is to preserve its group in Lebanon and not against Lebanon." Regarding internal affairs, Gemayel stressed that “the Lebanese army today has a responsibility first in politics, and we must show that there is a state in Lebanon that not only speaks but acts.” He pointed out that “Lebanon provided ten times more in this war than Iran did, and Qalibaf justified sending Iranian money to Hezbollah by saying that “Lebanon is sacrificing more for Iran than Iran is sacrificing itself.” Gemayel explained, “Iran does not pay the price for other people’s conflicts, but rather defends itself, but what is our relationship to this issue? He pointed out that “the Shiites of Lebanon are living through the greatest catastrophe since the founding of Lebanon until today... “Karmal Show.” He said: "We promise you that this will be the end of our sorrows, and we will not accept going back. The internal unity of the sovereigns is strong, and we will not live in a country of wars, blood, and killing." He added: "Let us end this 'Syrian scare'. The Syrian President has repeatedly stressed that the Syrian army will not enter Lebanon. We must wait for the results of the American-Iranian and Lebanese-Israeli negotiations as a priority, and this path must be allowed to take its course."
