This morning, Minister of Communications Charles Hajj toured the site of the fire that broke out yesterday in the warehouses belonging to the Ministry of Communications in the Dekwaneh area. During the tour, Al-Hajj praised the tireless efforts made by members of the Civil Defense, the Lebanese Army, and other security services in containing the fire and preventing it from spreading to neighboring sites, stressing the importance of what the field teams did to limit the repercussions of the fire. The Minister of Communications stressed the need to complete investigations to determine the causes and circumstances of the fire, and to take the necessary measures based on what the investigations will reveal, to ensure that the damage is addressed and to prevent the recurrence of similar incidents in the Ministry’s facilities. Al-Hajj's tour comes after the fire that broke out in the warehouses of the Ministry of Communications in Dekwaneh, and caused a state of anxiety in the region as a result of the intensity of the fire and smoke, before the firefighting and civil defense teams, with the support of the army and security services, were able to surround it and prevent its expansion.
