Hezbollah said that the Israeli army's open fire in the wooded areas in southern Lebanon, turning them into completely burned and uninhabitable areas, constitutes a continuation of urban genocide, bulldozing of infrastructure, and the theft of perennial olive trees. He pointed out that this ongoing environmental genocide is taking place amid the inability of the authority to even file a complaint or claim against the enemy, because it previously gave him a protection document with its commitment not to file any complaint in international forums, and thus the Israeli army is more careful about its crimes and is confident of impunity. He stressed that this painful paradox clearly reveals how the authority managed its negotiations and the extent of the seriousness of the concessions it made in various items, and declares its absolute incompetence in preserving Lebanon’s interests and its neglect of its basic rights. The party called on the government, the Ministry of Environment, and all ministries and concerned parties to raise their voices and take action to stop Israeli brutality against the environment, beyond humanity and urban development.
