Prime Minister Nawaf Salam issued Administrative Memorandum No. 17/2026, during which he declared official mourning over the death of the former Emir of Qatar. The memorandum stated that on the occasion of the death of Lebanon’s great friend, the late His Highness Sheikh Hamad bin Khalifa Al Thani, official mourning is declared, flags raised at all public administrations and institutions and municipalities are flown at half-mast, and regular programs on radio and television stations are modified in accordance with the painful occasion, effective from its date until Wednesday, 7/15/2026 inclusive.
