The House of Representatives approved the law proposal aimed at subjecting contractors in the Ministry of Information to the retirement plan, after its amendment, with a majority of 61 votes against 30 opponents. The amendment to the Consumer Protection Law was also approved by a majority of votes, in addition to proposing a law requiring the reinstatement of officers and sergeants who had previously been dismissed from the customs police. The Council also approved amending a paragraph in the law granting those affected exemptions, introducing amendments related to fees for transferring ownership of destroyed homes, and expanding the scope of benefit to include the districts of Nabatieh, Sidon, Hasbaya, and Western Bekaa. Also, the proposed expedited, duplicate law was approved, aiming to establish exceptional provisions related to the general secondary school certificate in its four branches for the year 2026, and to the technical certificates and the intermediate certificate, with the exception of free applicants from obtaining statements. On the other hand, the Council returned the law proposal regarding amending Paragraph (B) of Article 37 of Law No. 367 issued on August 1, 1994 (Practice of the Pharmacy Profession) to the joint committees. It concluded by approving the law proposal aimed at suspending legal, judicial and contractual deadlines.
