The US Army announced the implementation of new attacks on Iran for the ninth day, as part of ongoing operations against targets belonging to the Islamic Republic. US Central Command (Centcom) said in a statement that it launched a "new wave of strikes" with the aim of "undermining" Iran's ability to attack commercial ships in the vital shipping lanes in the Strait of Hormuz. It explained that the strikes targeted coastal surveillance facilities and Iranian military air defenses, in addition to naval capabilities, missile launch sites, drones, and communications networks. On the other hand, the Iranian Revolutionary Guard announced that it targeted American military sites in Kuwait, according to what was reported by the official Iranian news agency, IRNA. The Revolutionary Guards said in a statement that its forces “destroyed an early warning radar system belonging to the US Army through a drone attack,” noting that another attack was carried out that targeted a warehouse for aviation equipment and parts and a hangar for MQ-9 drones at the Ali Al-Salem base, which led to fires breaking out in a number of drones.
