The Electricité du Liban reassured everyone that its current stock of gas oil is sufficient for about 9 days, based on the approved production and operational policy, where about 450 megawatts are produced, ensuring about 3-4 hours of daily supply on various Lebanese territories, while maintaining the priority of supply to basic and vital facilities in Lebanon (airport, port, sewage, water pumps, palaces of justice, prisons, basic departments in the state...). The Corporation indicated in a statement that it is expected to supply to the Electricité du Liban Corporation through the Ministry of Energy and Water - the General Directorate of Petroleum during the next few days a shipment of gas oil with a tonnage of approximately 33,000 metric tons, which is currently being finished loading at the loading port, while confirming that the Electricité du Liban Corporation took all measures about two weeks ago, in the wake of the renewed regional crisis, especially in the Strait of Hormuz, and the subsequent rise in the prices of oil derivatives. Precautionary measures in order to get through this crisis and maintain the continuity of nutrition and the continuity of the work of state facilities. It also indicated that it is studying with all concerned parties, especially the Ministry of Energy and Water, various alternative options that can be resorted to in the event of the continuation of the current crisis and the continued rise in fuel prices. The corporation is reassuring once again about the status of inventory and production, and it will also keep everyone aware of any developments that may arise through other statements in this regard.
