Minister of Information After the session ended at approximately seven o’clock in the evening, the Minister of Information made the following decisions: “The Council of Ministers held a session chaired by the Prime Minister, Dr. Nawaf Salam, in the presence of ladies and gentlemen of the ministers, and in the absence of the Deputy Prime Minister and the Minister of Culture. On the agenda were a number of regular and regular administrative items, most of which the Council approved, the most important of which are: With regard to the Internet file, and in accordance with the recommendations of the Audit Bureau, the Council of Ministers asked the Ministry of Communications to sign the contract with the “Medusa” company alongside the “Ogero” organization. It also asked the Ministry of Finance to secure the necessary funds to finance the full value of the project. - Regarding the expansion of the Port of Beirut, the Council approved the proposal to allocate Property No. 1383 Al-Madwar - the Port, with the aim of expanding the Port of Beirut. The Council also appointed Samer Khawand as Director General of the General Organization for Consumer Markets. Regarding the electricity file, which occupied part of the discussion, the Council of Ministers approved the policy paper presented by the Ministry of Energy regarding the electricity sector, and requested the issuance of the necessary decrees to implement it. Regarding the damaged buildings in the city of Beirut, the Council decided to continue paying housing allowances for buildings classified as highly dangerous, as in other areas. The Council of Ministers also approved a loan agreement worth $150 million with the International Bank for Reconstruction and Development, with the aim of approving and facilitating the digital transformation in Lebanon. The Council approved a number of cooperation memorandums, including memorandums with Colombia, Serbia and Bulgaria, in various agricultural and sports fields. He also agreed to extend the contract with the Al-Fayhaa Municipalities Union to implement a project to sweep, clean and rinse roads, transport waste, and remove stickers in the areas included in the project. Dialogue Morcos was asked: Did you mention President Aoun’s visit to Washington and President Salam’s visit to the south?
