Aoun is following the security situation and plans to enhance the army’s deployment in the south

The President of the Republic, Joseph Aoun, discussed with the Minister of the Interior and Municipalities, Ahmed Al-Hajjar, at Baabda Palace, the security conditions in various Lebanese regions, and was briefed on the measures and procedures implemented by the security services to maintain security and stability.
After the meeting, Al-Hajjar affirmed his support for the national efforts led by the President of the Republic to protect Lebanon, preserve its sovereignty, and extract it from the war that was imposed on it, leading to achieving Israeli withdrawal and extending state authority over the entire Lebanese territory.
Al-Hajjar also expressed his satisfaction with the positive atmosphere that accompanied President Aoun’s visit to Washington, and the welcome and praise it received, considering that it reflects growing international confidence in Lebanon and its legitimate institutions.
The Minister of the Interior stressed that the summit that brought together President Aoun and US President Donald Trump constituted a turning point in Lebanese-American relations, and a clear message of support for Lebanon.
In a related context, President Aoun briefed the Minister of National Defense, Major General Michel Mansi, on the measures taken to enhance the deployment of the Lebanese army in a number of southern towns and villages, in addition to the needs of the military institution.
