The embassy indicated that commercial flights are still available through Middle East Airlines from Rafic Hariri International Airport in Beirut, calling on Americans to “seriously consider” the option of departing on these flights if they consider it safe. She stressed that the safety and security of American citizens remains a top priority for the US administration, in light of continuing regional tensions.
