The General Directorate of Internal Security Forces - Public Relations Division issued the following statement: On 7/13/2026, an investigation file was referred to the Baabda Judicial Detachment in the Judicial Police Unit, based on a citizen’s allegation against an unknown person, for the crime of stealing an amount of $15,000 from inside his home in one of the towns in the Baabda district. As a result of the investigations and investigations conducted by the aforementioned detachment, its members became suspicious of a worker at the gas station owned by the plaintiff, called: H. A. (Born in 2001, Syrian nationality) After the investigation expanded on him and confronted him with data and evidence indicating his involvement, he confessed to what was attributed to him, and that he had stolen the money and spent it to charge his account balance on a gaming application. The detainee was transferred to the competent judiciary, based on his advice.
