The US State Department spokesman said: The “pilot zones” process represents the only viable path to achieving long-term peace and security between Lebanon and Israel. He stressed that the disarmament of Hezbollah is an integral part of the "test zones" process. He stressed that the Lebanon Military Coordination Group “will continue to work to ensure the successful implementation of the first pilot areas and that the United States fully supports Lebanon’s sovereignty and territorial integrity.”
