The Governor of the Bekaa, Bashir Khader, denied what is being circulated about the existence of tunnels under the Baalbek Citadel, stressing that this news is baseless. Khader called on the media to visit the site, and the Lebanese army to verify the Israeli allegations, “to eliminate doubt with certainty” and not to endanger the largest archaeological site in Lebanon.
