Al-Hajjar reviews the security measures and procedures accompanying the ceasefire agreement

The Minister of Interior and Municipalities, Ahmed Al-Hajjar, was briefed from the central operations room in the ministry, via a remote call with officers of the operations room in the General Directorate of Internal Security Forces, about the measures and procedures implemented by the directorate’s units on the ground in keeping with the ceasefire agreement.
Al-Hajjar stressed that the current stage requires redoubled effort and full coordination with the Lebanese Army, to accompany the return of people to a number of villages and towns, by intensifying measures to maintain security and order, and ensuring the smooth flow of traffic.
In contact with the concerned governors, Al-Hajjar stressed the need to remain at the highest level of preparedness, pay special attention to the people, work to meet their needs and monitor their conditions.
Al-Hajjar also requested, during a call with the Director General of Civil Defense, Brigadier General Imad Khuraish, active participation in the rubble removal operations, and rapid response to citizens’ calls.
