US President Donald Trump said today, Sunday, that a delegation will arrive in Pakistan, to complete negotiations with Iran, indicating that the agreement will happen, whether friendly or unfriendly.
According to ABC, Trump said: “Our representatives will go to Islamabad and will arrive there by Monday to conduct negotiations.”
Trump stressed that an American delegation will head to Islamabad, Pakistan, to participate in scheduled negotiations, stressing that his country has offered a “fair and reasonable agreement” to Tehran.
He added: “The peace agreement with Iran will happen, whether friendly or unfriendly,” according to ABC.
The US President said that Iran opened fire on Saturday in the Strait of Hormuz, considering it a “complete violation of the ceasefire agreement,” noting that some of the shots targeted a French ship and a British ship.
Trump pointed out that Iran's announcement of closing the Strait of Hormuz is "surprising," considering that it was the American blockade that actually led to its closure, noting that Iran loses about $500 million a day as a result.
The US President hinted at a major escalation if an agreement was not reached, threatening to target “all power stations and bridges” in Iran, stressing that Washington “will not be complacent” if the diplomatic path fails.
He wrote on the Truth Social platform: “They will comply quickly and easily, and if they do not accept the agreement, it will be my honor to do what must be done, which is what other presidents should have done toward Iran for the past forty-seven years.”
He concluded in his post: “It is time for the Iranian killing machine to stop.”
