Speaker of the House of Representatives, Nabih Berri, called the Finance and Budget, Administration and Justice, Defense, Interior and Municipalities, Foreign and Expatriate Affairs, National Economy, Trade and Industry, Planning, and Media and Communications Committees to a joint session at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, April 23, 2026, to study the following agenda: - The draft law contained in Decree No. 1834 aimed at authorizing the Lebanese government to conclude an agreement between the Lebanese Republic and the Federal Republic of Germany regarding the establishment of local agency offices of the German Agency for International Cooperation. - The draft law contained in Decree No. 2420 aimed at requesting approval to conclude an agreement between the Lebanese Republic and the International Monetary Fund regarding the establishment of the Office of the Resident Representative of the International Monetary Fund. - Proposing a media law. - Proposing a law aimed at granting a general amnesty and exceptionally reducing the duration of some punishments.
