The President of the Republic, General Joseph Aoun, was informed this afternoon of the news of the martyrdom of the French soldier who was among those injured in the shooting incident against a French UNIFIL patrol in the town of Ghandouria a few days ago. President Aoun renewed his condemnation of the incident, reiterating his condolences to the French state and the leadership of UNIFIL, considering that the martyred soldier joined with his companion a convoy of martyrs of international forces who irrigated the land of the south with their blood, like a group of martyrs of the Lebanese army and other Lebanese security forces.
