The US military published a photo of a destroyer that it said was intercepting an Iranian ship, in a scene that summarizes the naval blockade that Washington has imposed on Iranian ports for days. The US Central Command (Centcom) attached the photo with a comment, in which it said: “The guided-missile destroyer (USS Rafael Peralta) is imposing the US blockade on Iranian ports in front of a ship flying the Iranian flag that is trying to sail to a port in Iran.” These developments come amid efforts to hold a second round of negotiations between Washington and Tehran, hosted by Islamabad.
