The Supreme Shiite Islamic Council announced in a statement, “Tuesday, June 16, is the continuation of the month of Dhu al-Hijjah for the year 1848 AH, and Wednesday, June 17, 2026, is the first of the holy month of Muharram. Therefore, Friday, June 26, will be the tenth day of Muharram for the year 1848 AH.”
