Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu confirmed that Israel will not withdraw from southern Lebanon as long as security needs require it. He pointed out that Iran will not have a nuclear weapon as long as he remains the prime minister of Israel. Netanyahu stressed the importance of maintaining the "vital relationship" with the United States, following the latter's signing of an understanding with Tehran and the emergence of public differences between him and US President Donald Trump. On the other hand, US President Donald Trump considered that Netanyahu should be more rational and perhaps support him in the upcoming elections. He also added that he might support him in the elections, but he must see the other candidates, as he put it. Despite this, Trump confirmed that he has a good relationship with the Israeli Prime Minister, repeating his call for prudence.
