The President of the Republic, Joseph Aoun, confirmed during his reception of a delegation from the Maronite Diffusion Foundation, headed by Mrs. Rose Choueiri, that the negotiations are making progress and, in any case, remain better than the results of the devastating war against us. Pointing out that the extent of the Israeli attacks on Lebanon was limited after the signing of the framework formula, which reflected positively on the return of the Lebanese to spend the summer in their homeland. Aoun pointed out that there is no disagreement among the Lebanese over the goals, including Israeli withdrawal, the return of prisoners, and the reconstruction of what was destroyed. In the end, stressing that the Authority will not allow Israel to remain on even one inch of our land, nor for a single one of its soldiers to remain on our land. He said: It is time for the son of the south to rest and settle in his land, instead of continuing the wars being waged in his name for non-Lebanese goals. He concluded: My goal today is to rebuild the state at all costs, despite the opposition of those who seek to destroy the foundations of the state and prevent it from being rebuilt.
