An earthquake strikes Italy... how strong was it?
Fady Mahouly
The Italian National Institute of Geophysics and Volcanology announced on Tuesday that an earthquake measuring 6.1 on the Richter scale struck off the coast of the Calabria region in southern Italy.
He pointed out that the earthquake occurred in the Tyrrhenian Sea off the city of Cosenza in the south of the country at a depth of approximately 250 kilometers, which contributed to the residents feeling its tremors in large areas.
