The General Directorate of Internal Security Forces - Public Relations Division issued the following statement: On the occasion of the sixth anniversary of the painful Beirut port explosion, and in honor of the souls of the martyrs, two marches will be launched tomorrow, Tuesday, 04-08-2026, starting at 16:00 until the end, as follows: The first: in front of the Beirut Fire Brigade Center - Karantina towards the port The second: from Martyrs’ Square towards the port itself A gathering will also be held by the families of the martyrs and those wounded in the explosion at 15:00 on the aforementioned date on the airport road, to start a car march towards the Beirut Palace of Justice to deliver a speech, then the march will continue its march towards the Martyrs’ Gate No. 3 in the port. After that, you move to the port campus, where a wreath is laid at the Martyrs’ Memorial. Therefore, the General Directorate of Internal Security Forces will take the following measures: Diverting traffic coming from the cycle towards the fish market Diverting traffic heading from Forum de Beirut Square towards Al-Dakhiliya, and preventing it from reaching the western lane Diverting traffic coming from Charles Helou Avenue (Deportation Station) towards the eastern lane, and preventing it from reaching the expatriate statue. Diverting traffic coming from the expatriate statue, and isolating the lane from the deportation station to the expatriate statue, and vice versa. Diversion of traffic heading from Nazlat Zion prior to the rally and the start of the first march from Martyrs’ Square towards George Haddad Intersection (circumstantial diversion) Removing cars and isolating the eastern lane leading from the Forum de Beirut to the central Phalange House Citizens are requested to take note and adhere to the directives and instructions of members of the Internal Security Forces and the directional road signs to facilitate traffic and prevent congestion.
