The President of the Republic, Joseph Aoun, received the National Director of the Pontifical Missionary Works in Lebanon, Father George Al-Ters, accompanied by a delegation who invited him to attend the ceremonial mass that will be held next October 18 in Harissa, on the occasion of the 100th World Mission Day, headed by the Maronite Patriarch, Cardinal Bechara Boutros Al-Rai. The delegation presented to the President of the Republic the work of the office in Lebanon, concerned with papal missionary work, which is the official missionary institution of the Catholic Church, directly affiliated with the Holy See and present in more than 120 countries around the world. The Foundation aims to develop the missionary spirit, support young churches, raise children and youth, and support missionaries, priests, monks and nuns, through prayer, formation, fellowship and giving. These actions are not limited to serving the church alone, but rather extend to serving humanity.
