President Aoun from the General Directorate of Public Security: There is an internal conflict with people who do not want state institutions and live “on the back of the absence of the state,” and we say to them, “Whatever you do, we are sufficient.” President Aoun: Every person has a cause but does not believe in it. It is not destined for success, but General Security believes in their institution and in Lebanon. Director General of Public Security, Major General Hassan Shuqair: Citizen security is at the core of our priorities. The citizen who comes to our centers to obtain a passport, residence, or any other transaction must feel that the state is present by his side, and we have worked and are working to develop the administration and the increasing reliance on technology and digital transformation.
